About:

Museum Kampa is a modern art gallery in Prague, showing Central European, and in particular Czech work. The pieces are from the private collection of Meda Mládek, wife of Jan V. Mládek. The museum opened in 2003 and is housed in the Sova’s Mills on the eastern bank of the Kampa Island on the river Vltava.

There is a large sculpture of a chair by Magdalena Jetelova outside the museum, which is a prominent landmark visible from across the Vltava.

About:

The building of the Kaiserstein Palace is a genuine treasure of segments and details of architecture. It is one of the first top baroque Prague´s palaces and one of the noblest secular monuments of the Prague baroque. During the years 1908 through 1914 the world known Czech lady-singer Emmy Destinn was living in a part of the palace. A most grandiose reconstruction of the palace was completed in 1981. The palace was given back its original appearance. The Kaiserstein Palace offers today a variety of conference and banquet facilities well-known for their professional and commercial qualities.
