Hi Andrea,
Hiro and I had been together 8 years when he proposed on my birthday whilst on holiday in Mauritius. The last 18 months have been the most fun planning our wedding to each other !
When we visited Prague to look at venues we instantly fell in love with Vrtbovska Gardens & Villa Richter and knew they would both help in making the day so special, from the perfectly landscaped gardens to the amazing view of Prague from the villa
With Hiro being half Japanese we decided to incorporate some of his heritage into our special day and had origami birds as a theme to the day, they were everywhere,;to place settings, on the cakes and as the background to our hilarious smilebox.
We knew from the start that we wanted to put something special on for our guests who travelled from all over to Prague for the weekend, so after the ceremony we sent them on a tour of Prague by historical tram all the way up to the castle which they could then walk through to get to the reception venue.
Our wish that people enjoyed plenty to eat and drink so the alternative wedding cakes which consisted of carrot cake and red velvet cake went down a treat, and everyone loved the cheese bar for desert.
Andrea our wedding planner did a fantastic job of making sure everything was perfect on the day, the tables looked wonderful with their navy table cloths and birdcages or flower arrangements.
The roses, peonies and hydrangea which are my favourite flowers all looked amazing on the day !
The highlight for the guests was the smilebox, everyone spent their night their taking pictures with the funny props but for us it had to be our first dance to John Legend’s All Of Me. We’ve loved this song for a long time and it was the perfect song for us, and the fact that everyone began singing along with us make it all so intimate and emotional.
